The Nature of “True Love” is Radiant, Boundless, Immeasurable. Our retreat time will support our attunement to the natural world internally and externally, as a path to peace, compassion and wisdom.

This is a silent retreat with optional short talking periods at dinner. ALL are welcome from beginners to experienced practitioners. There will be a mix of sitting, walking, Dharma talks and periods for questions. Sam will offer short practice talks 1:1.

This is also a Dana (donation) based retreat meaning your registration fee pays for the retreat space and food. Your teachers and cooks only receive your donations at the close of retreat and are not paid by NUI. We offer freely, with a deep bow.

Joe Hessenius Yoga: Joe will return to offer optional yoga, twice a day. Joe is a skilled accessible yoga teacher and trained under Sam. He is an E-RYT500 through Yoga Alliance. Yoga and gentle movement support our sitting time.

Meals: Meals will be vegetarian and vegan, prepared on site. We can accommodate gluten free and food allergies but may not be able to accommodate all sensitivities.

Arrival: Thursday May 21st between 3:30-5:30pm

Retreat Close: Sunday early afternoon

Accommodations: Tent camping, RV/van spots, or bunk house (think rustic girl/boy scout camp shared rooms).

Registration Fee: Please choose which amount you can afford. Benefactor rates support scholarships. Sustaining rates cover our costs for site rental and food.

Registration: If any spots open up, we will contact those on the waitlist in the order received.

SPACE IS LIMITED TO 28. Once you register and make a payment, you will receive an email confirming your spot. If there is no payment received after you register, we cannot guarantee your space.

If your plans change, please email northernutahinsight@gmail.com as soon as possible. Refunds will be offered as follows:

Before March 21 - full refund

March 21 - May 1: 75% refund unless your spot is filled, then full refund

After May 1: no refund (emergency situations can be addressed)

Thank you for your kind understanding as to all that goes into planning a retreat. Any extra money collected will be offered to the kitchen and yoga staff, NUI, and/or another Buddhist organization agreed upon by the NUI council.
